The shelves below the TV pull forward on wheels so I can attach needed cords and cables.
Behind these shelves is the old fireplace where I now have electric power and conduit
to left and right so I can bring in the cables for the TV signals from the DISH and the
TV antennas in the attic or on the roof as well as the electric power cord. Then there is
a space behind the TV where cords and cables can be dropped to get to the DISH, DVD, and
Video boxes.
2016 Update: The whole unit had to be dismantled and some of it thrown
out do to a leak and black mold. Now, with the leak and black mold taken care
of, by the people who know how to do that sort of thing, I am in the middle of
a rebuild with the help of a friend. Also, we dropped all Dish & cable TV for
simply Other-the-air (OTA) TV, some of you surely remember "FREE" TV using a TV
antenna mounted on your house, and Netflix from the Internet.
